Ms. Sarah Suggs

Sarah Ann Suggs, also many knew her by “Ann” born to the late Hattie Mae Spruill and Raymond Lee Suggs on January 10, 1959, in Bath NC. At a young age she moved to Brooklyn, NY then later to Babylon Long Island, NY with foster mom Margie where she also graduated high school. She and her son, Milton Sherrod later moved to Greenville, NC making it her home until Friday, February 17, 2023, she transitioned from this earth to her final rest in glory. Ann later met the late Ralph Langley, and had three kids, Latanya Suggs, Dontae Suggs and Latoya Suggs. Losing a mother at an early age she also became the mother figure to her little sister Hattie Dixon. Ann was a loving mother to 4, grandmother to 19, great-grandmother to 3, aunt, cousin, and friend to all she met. A dependable and reliable worker, working at Burger King and Wendy’s. Ann returned to Wendy’s where she put in over 25 years until having to give it up due to her health. She loved working and was very independent and never wanted to depend on anyone if she was able. An all-around super woman, strong and sweetest woman you would ever meet. Oh, she was known to talk her junk please don’t let her little size fool you. Ann preceded in death by her mother, Hattie Spruill; father, Raymond Suggs; nephew, Marley “FatDaddy” Spruill; granddaughter, Odysey Sherrod; sisters, Justine Suggs and Joyce Robinson; brothers, Henry Spruill, Felton Powell and Earl Powell; aunt, Gloria Powell. Ann leaves her love and most cherished memories: two sons, Milton Sherrod of Gastonia, NC and Dontae Suggs of Greenville, NC; three daughters, Latanya Suggs of Greenville, NC, Latoya Suggs (CJ) of Ayden, NC and Tatiana Suggs of Fayetteville, NC; five sisters, Hattie Dixon (Lester) of the home, Geraldine Spruill of Brooklyn, NY, Sandra Clark of Greenville, NC, Lizzie Williams of Greenville, NC and Jennifer Suggs of New Jersey; special nephew, Antonio Spruill and niece, Jessica Williams of the home; her nineteen grandkids, Kristen Williams, Christyles Suggs, Areyon Suggs, Odyssey Sherrod, Miracle McKinney, Tijamalek Suggs, Tyshanek Suggs, Javeon Sherod, Capone Suggs, Amarie Williams, Nyasia Sherrod, Ma’Fia Anderson, Nyanna Suggs, Mysonney Williams, Psalms Anderson, Camani Crandell, NyJanae Suggs, Carter Crandell and Ke’Ziyah Suggs; great grandkids, special nieces; Shaquana Spruill, Za’Rijah Spruill, Tamika Spruill, Kesha Spruill, Mickina Suggs and Maquesha Suggs; special nephews; Donmetrius Suggs, Kavon Spruill and Ty’Jahquan Spruill; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and special friends, Ann Atkinson and Jackie Tyson.
