Ms. Juanita Bullock

Juanita Bullock was born on October 12, 1951, in Warrenton, North Carolina to the late Daniel Bullock, Sr. and Mary Frances Bullock. She was the second of 4 siblings. Preceding her in death were her father and mother, Deacon Daniel and Deaconess Mary Frances Bullock, loving sister, Deaconess Patricia L. Chadwick, devoted grandmother and grandfather, Irvin Johnson and Lucy C. Johnson “Mama Lucy,” uncles, Henderson T. Bullock, Lewis Johnson, Colonel Johnson, Eddie Johnson, and Daniel Johnson, and aunts, Susie Cotton, Lena Williams, Alice Ferrell, Martha Harrison, and cousin Luther Trotter, Sr. Juanita Bullock was reared in Warrenton, North Carolina. She graduated from John R Hawkins High School earning her high school diploma in June of 1969. She was named Salutatorian of her graduating class. In the fall, she entered North Carolina Central University. She graduated with a B S degree in Business Management. After college graduation she was offered a job in Atlanta, Georgia with Ked Shoes as an inside customer representative. After ten years, she moved back to Greenville and was hired at Greenville Utilities Commission as an Inside Billing Specialist II. Juanita retired after 20 years of dedicated service. Juanita was a faithful member of Sycamore Hill Missionary Baptist Church. She served on the Hospitality Committee, Rosebud Usher Board, Homeless Shelter Ministry, and the Alter Guild. She attended the Hour of Prayer on Tuesday and Vacation Bible School each Summer. She also attended Sunday School and the Senior Christian Fellowship gatherings regularly. Juanita was initiated in 1970 in the Alpha Chi Chapter of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated on the campus of North Carolina Central College in Durham, North Carolina. Later she joined the local chapter of the Iota Kappa Omega Chapter of the AKA Sorority, Incorporated, Greenville, North Carolina on January 05, 2010. She was honored as a Golden Soror on August 7, 2020. Juanita leaves to cherish her memory her brother, Deacon Daniel Bullock, Jr. (wife, Mary); niece, Dr, Vertricia Harris; brother-in-law, Rev. Jesse Chadwick; nieces, Jessica and Kristina Chadwick, Winterville, NC; cousins, Barbara Trotter, Petersburg, Va., Luther H. Trotter III, Los Angeles, California, Clinton Ferrell (wife Etta), St. Albany, NY, Gloria Stradford (husband, Bennie) St Albany, New York, Delores Beamon, Baltimore, Md., Judge Deborah Buie, (husband, Kevin) Columbia, Maryland, David Williams, New York, New York, Henderson Bullock, Jr., Newark, New Jersey; two special friends, James S. Gorham, Ayden, N C. and Mrs. Judy Lamb, Greenville, NC; a host other relatives and friends.
