Ms. Jacqueline Price

Jacqueline “Jackie” Denice Price was born August 30, 1974 in Greenville, NC to the late Dalton “Big Dan” and the late Claudia Price. She departed this life on November 5, 2018 to be with our Heavenly Father. Jackie graduated from J.H. Rose High School in 1993. She went on to attend Mitchell’s Hairstyling Academy and she also studied Social Work at East Carolina University. Jackie worked several years in Medical Records at Vidant Medical Center. Jackie was a confident woman who loved the skin she was in. She had no problem saying “you better get you a BIG girl!” She enjoyed cooking, socializing, talking on the phone and would greet you with a lively “HEY GIRL!” Jackie had a passion for life and people. You could always count on her to have a smile on her face and a joke whenever you saw her but even more than that Jackie loved the Lord. She was taught at an early age the power of prayer and remaining faithful to God’s word. Her favorite scripture was the 23rd Psalm. Jackie had a BIG personality and could make a stranger feel like she had known them for years. She liked to cook, loved to laugh and could find humor in anything. Jackie loved hard and dedicated her life to her family. She faced her challenges head-on, and was always determined to come out on top, never accepting defeat. To know her was to love her! Jackie was a wonderful and loving daughter, sister, niece, cousin, friend and mother. Jackie loved her daughters, Shay and Emani with all of her heart. She often referred to them as her “First Luv” and her “Mini Me”. When her grandson, Amir was born, he stole her heart! He was affectionately known as her “Main Man” or “Pooda”. Jackie embraced her newest title of “Glamma!” Jackie was preceded in death by her parents, Dalton Ray and Claudia Jean Price; her brother, Keith Price; her maternal grandmother, Rosa Lee Boykin; her paternal grandmother, Clydia Mae Price-Austin. Jackie leaves to cherish her precious memories, two daughters, Jashala Evans and Emani Joyner of Stafford, VA; one grandson, Amir, of Stafford, VA; three uncles, George Price (Cynthia) of Fort Washington, MD, Stanley Price (Janice) of Winterville, NC, Derrick Price (Agnes) of Lithonia,GA; five aunts, Virginia Daniels, Thelma Green, Cathy Price all of Greenville, NC, Elizabeth Washington of Clinton, MD, Nina Blackwell (Walter) of Simpson, NC; five sisters-in-love, Shadonna Price, Moneta Davis, Taura Moore, Keisha Speller, Christy Stanback; a host of cousins, extended family and friends. Even in this, JACKIE WON !!!
