Dontrell Ra’Kwan Bonds was born on February 6, 1998, to Direatha Rodgers and Donell Bonds in Williamston, North Carolina. He departed this life on Sunday, September 15, 2024. Dontrell affectionately known as “Donnie G” received his formal education in the Martin County School System. He graduated from Riverside High School (Now known as Martin County High School) in 2018. Dontrell was proud of being a father; he loved his children and his family. He also loved and had a passion for music. Dontrell wrote and produced his own songs, and several made the mainstream radio playlist. Dontrell was a very hard worker, he was employed at Bojangles in Williamston, North for several years and he was currently employed at World Cat in Tarboro, North Carolina. Dontrell joined United Holy Church of Deliverance at very young age under the leadership of the late Bishop Jerome Wilson, Sr. Dontrell leaves his cherished memories with his mother, Direatha (Trent) Rodgers of the home, his father, Donell (Michelle) Bonds of Greenville, North Carolina; one daughter, Kai’Ari Bonds and one son, Syx Bonds, both of Williamston, North Carolina; two brothers, Jadakis Bonds of Greenville, North Carolina and Ja’Quae Council of Raleigh, North Carolina; three sisters, Safiy’yah Bellamy of the home and Ja’Liyah Bonds and Ni’Kela Mason both of Robersonville, North Carolina; one stepsister, Octavia Delva of Raleigh, North Carolina; his grandparents, Everlyn Everett of the home, Phyllis (Kirk) Ebron of Williamston, North Carolina, William Rodgers of Williamston, North Carolina, and Darnell (Sylvia) Bonds of Robersonville, North Carolina; two aunts, Contessa Collins of Washington, North Carolina and Donetta Williams of Williamston, North Carolina; two nieces, Za’Riah Parks and Xyla Mason, both of Robersonville, North Carolina; one special friend, Ytadra Myles of Williamston, North Carolina; God-siblings, Ny’shawn Shaw and Ny’Eria Hudgins, both of Greenville, North Carolina; extended family, Terrell, Tamyah, Amari and Tremell Rhodes, Amani Pearsall and Billy Cole, all of Greenville, North Carolina, Shayla Cobb of Washington, North Carolina; special grandmother, Pamela (William) Hansley of Greenville, North Carolina; and a host of great aunts and uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.
