Mrs. Diane Roberson

Mother Diane Best Roberson was born on October 24, 1954 in Pitt County, North Carolina to the late Harry D Best and Gloristine Albritton Best. Mother Diane Best Roberson transitioned on Sunday, December 26, 2021 at home surrounded by her loving family. On December 18, 2021 about 2 a.m. Mom called and informed several people that God had healed her. She loved the Lord. What a woman of faith and she stood on God’s Word. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Mother Diane Best Roberson was raised in Hassel, N.C. She attended West Martin School in Oak City N.C. Mother Diane Best Roberson worked at a shoe factor and often talked about the things she’d done to make production. It was good and bad. At the age of 49, Mother Diane further her education at Martin Community College where she received her Cosmetology License and then opened a Salon called “Diane’s Beauty of Charm”. In 2018, she received her certificate in Notary Public. In May 2021, she graduated from Washington Baptist Theological Seminary where she received a certificate in leadership organizational skills. She was a Life Insurance Agent and sold herbs. Mother Diane Best Roberson was the Mother of Roberson Chapel Word of Life Ministries, where she sang in the Adult choir and was a high soprano. She taught vacation bible school and was the church secretary. Mother Diane wore many hats. Her hobbies included dancing, saving money, fishing, planting flowers/gardening, and yard work. She fished nearly every day with her husband, sons, and grandchildren. Oh, did she love her grandchildren and it was nothing she wouldn’t do for them. Mother Diane was our beautician, “More Hair” was her motto when she completed her task. She loved fashion, yellow was her favorite color. Numbers 23-19 was her favorite scripture. Before she passed away, her wish was to be home for Christmas with her family and God granted her wish. Every year we had a gingerbread house contest with both my mom and dad. They both cheated faithfully every year, always breaking the rules. Mother Diane Best Roberson was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Linda Best, Neva Bowers (Robert); six brothersin-law, Linvert Roberson, Rudolph Roberson, Tyrone Roberson, Octavis Roberson, Author Jr. Roberson, and C.B. Roberson; two sisters-in-law, Sadie Brown and Ethel Williams. Mother Diane Best Roberson leaves to cherish her memories, her loving husband of 49 years, Assistant Pastor Clinton Earl Roberson, Sr; four daughters, Lutarsha Roberson and Nicky Roberson of Parmele, NC, Diana Roberson (friend Earnest Crawford) of Greenville, NC, Cherry Davis (Tremayne) of Everetts, NC; five sons, Clinton Roberson Jr. (Darlene) of Robersonville, NC, Sherrod Roberson of Washington, NC, Corius Roberson (Mekia) of Bethel, NC, Harry Roberson of Parmele, NC, Joshua Roberson of Greenville, NC; two sisters, Doristine Smith (Lonnie) of Richmond, VA, Barbara Council (Melvin) of Oak City, NC; four sisters-in-law, Joyce McCrary, Shirley Powell (William), and Glenda Barnes, all of Parmele, NC, Gloria Roberson of Williamston, NC; three brothers-in-law, McCoy Roberson (Doris), Mckinley Roberson (Alice) all of Parmele, NC, Hoyt Manning (Sonya) of Manhattan, NY; eighteen grandchildren; two great grandchildren; she raised two grandchildren, Harry Roberson Jr. and Isaiah Roberson; a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
