Caldvester “Carl” Lamonte Boone was born on December 1, 1972, at Beaufort County Hospital in Washington, North Carolina. He later made his home in Smithfield, North Carolina. On May 25, 2026, Carl departed this earthly life and entered into eternal rest with the Lord. Carl graduated from Washington High School in Washington, North Carolina in 1991. During his school years, he proudly played football for the Washington Pam Pack and enjoyed being part of the team. Carl also possessed a natural talent for drawing. He loved all sports, especially basketball and football, and was a devoted Los Angeles Lakers and Baltimore Ravens fan. Carl also had a special love for animals and enjoyed sharing dog videos with family and friends. Carl was known for his strength, resilience, and positive outlook on life. Even during difficult seasons, Carl remained a true fighter and continued to encourage others with his determination and spirit. Carl lived with determination and courage. He loved deeply, laughed often, worked hard, and never stopped fighting. Carl worked as a Commercial Truck Driver throughout his career, employed with KLLM Transportation Company, Martin Transport Company, CR England Company, and other positions until his health declined. At an early age, Carl attended Loving Union Free Will Baptist Church in Washington, North Carolina, where his spiritual foundation was established. Carl was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Brenda Joyce Patrick Boone; his maternal grandparents, Deacon Booker T. Patrick, Sr. and Mother Mary Jane Patrick; and his paternal grandparents, Mr. Herbert Boone and Mrs. Mary Weston Boone. Carl leaves to cherish his precious memories his loving and devoted fiancée, Teresa Scriven; her beloved grandchildren, Azariah Monique Baker and A’more D’cari Baker, whom Carl held close to his heart; his father, Haywood Boone; two sisters, Tawanda Boone-Shuford (Anthony) and Sherry Boone; two nephews, Elijah Shuford and Kaiden Boone; one great-nephew, Noah Shuford; his aunts: Evelyn P. Wright (Vicky) of Vanceboro, North Carolina, Marva Flowers-Patrick of Goldsboro, North Carolina, Gloria J. Bailey (Tyrone) of Hyattsville, Maryland, Deborah Patrick Ham (Stewart) of Chocowinity, North Carolina, Helen Faye Patrick of Vanceboro, North Carolina, Edna Thompson of Washington, North Carolina, and Teresa Pritchard of Williamston, North Carolina; his uncles, Bobby Boone, David Boone (Lillian), Johnnie Pritchard (Wilma), Herbert Pritchard, Marshall Pritchard; Joseph Pritchard, Douglas Boone (Phyllis); and his great-aunt, Mary Louise Patrick of Washington, North Carolina; a host of cousins, relatives, and friends who will forever cherish his memory. Though our hearts are heavy, we rejoice in knowing that Carl’s suffering has ended and that his legacy of perseverance, strength, and love will continue through all who knew him. “Well done, good and faithful servant.”
