With a smile that warms the heart, a soft spoken voice that touches our soul. On Thursday, January 24, 2013, God called his precious angel on home. Rest my child, your journey is complete, everything you did was special and unique. Take your rest until we meet again, in that heavenly place where Jesus stands. Mother Annie Ruth Hardison Langley was born to the late Author and Rosa L. Hardison on October 10, 1938. Mother Langley was married to the late Henry B. Langley Sr. She was preceded in death by her two siblings; Katie Matthew and Lillian Sheppard; one grandson, Shawn Dwayne Worsley. Mother Langley was a native of Pitt County were she attended school and worked on the farm. She was a devoted housewife toward her late husband and a dedicated mother to her children and grandchildren. Mother Langley enjoyed volunteering at Down Home Childcare where she enjoys caring for other children and had a passion for caring for the sick. She always placed other needs before her own. Mother Langley’s pastime was spending time in her flower bed making sure that everything was perfect and looked beautiful when she walked around her yard. Cooking Sunday dinner and waiting for her children to stop by and fellowship with her. She enjoyed spending her time with her children and visiting the sick when possible. Mother Langley gave her life to Christ at an early age at Hayes Chapel Missionary Baptist Church where she was a faithful member and mother until her health declined. Mother Langley leaves a reflection of memories to her sons: Henry B. Langley Jr. of New Haven, Ct, Eddie D. Langley (Peggy) and Willie E. Langley (Patty) all of Stokes, NC, Benjamin Langley (Barbara) of Greenville, NC and Calvin Williams (Teri) of Delaware, PA; her daughters, Deborah L. Worsley and Laura Langley both of Robersonville, NC, Marjorie L. Heath (Mark) of Belvoir, NC, Julie L. Bunn (Dennis) of Bethel, NC, Calasha L. Clark (Michael) of Greenville, NC; one special nephew that was reared as a brother, James Sheppard (Diane) of Robersonville, NC; two God sons, Ronnie Alston of Greenville, NC, and Gary Wilkins (Mattie) of Prince George, VA; two aunts, Julia Mae and a devoted Aunt which helped reared her, Bessie Sheppard both of Greenville, NC; six sisters-in-law, Leatha Dixon of NJ, Minnie Clark of Bethel, NC, Annie Rogers (Bobby) of Greenville, NC, Josephine Jones (Graham) of VA, Eleanor Broadie (Levi) of Charlotte, NC and Doris J. Stanley (Sammy) of Robersonville, NC; twenty-four grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren.
