Mr. Alexander Richardson

Alexander Richardson, Sr. aka “Daddy Rich”, “Alex” was born in Vredenburg, AL on October 26, 1956 to the late Jack Richardson, Sr. and the late Clara Mae Richardson. Alex passed away on July 6, 2016. Alex graduated from J.F. Shields High School. Alex was married to Yvonne Richardson on March 5, 1977; they were married thirty-nine years and five months and together forty-two years. She was a devoted loving wife that stood by his side, while he fought long and hard with his illness. Alex served in the US Army for sixteen years where he was a sergeant. He later worked as a machine operator at Bosch (Vermont America) for fourteen years until they closed. Alex enjoyed fishing and spending quality time with his family. He was a family man and would go above and beyond to make sure that his family was well taken care of. He was a people person and didn't meet any strangers. Alex loved to talk and if given the chance would talk for hours. Alex love fishing and if given the opportunity would fish for hours, even days. He enjoyed fishing with his son Alex Jr. and they often bonded over different fishing experiences that they shared. He was not only a fisherman at sea, but a fisherman of souls. Mark 1:17 “And Jesus said unto them, Come ye after me, and I will make you to become fishers of men", often times spreading the word of God to whomever would listen. Alex is preceded in death by his son, Juwan Richardson; brother, Jack Richardson, Jr. Alex is survived by his wife, Yvonne Richardson of Greenville, NC; children, Kimberly Manning (Jermaine) of Greenville, NC, Clara Hazzard (Michael) of Graham, NC, Alexander Richardson, Jr. (Kimberly) of Miami, FL, Nykoa Richardson of Greenville, NC, Jamonica Richardson of Greenville, NC, Conrad Young (nephew-son), Kelvin Brown (nephew-son), Yasmeen Brown (niece-daughter); grandchildren, Kamaz Richardson, Shanta Richardson, Lashea Hazzard, Sharniece Manning, Lyasia Hazzard, Zaniaya Ewing, Caleb Ewing, Alex Richardson (Jordan), Nai'Zerion Brown, Kelvin Brown Jr., Alexis Richardson, and Con'ceon Harris; great grandchildren, Ke'ziyah Richardson, Aniyah Langley, Tyquell Harris; siblings, Burlee Richardson (Linda) of Greenville, NC, James Richardson (Ora) of Florida, Barbara Charley (Shellie) of Tennessee, Hattie White Hopkins (Frederick) of Greenville, NC, Bonnie Baker (Dean) of Michigan, Armie Lee Richardson (Barbara) of Greenville, NC, Nathaniel Richardson (Wanda Kay)of Greenville, NC, Rhonda Richardson Boyd of Greenville, NC, Juan Richardson (Cozette) of Michigan; a host of nieces, nephews, great nephews, cousins, other family and friends.
