Mr. Nicholas D'Wayne Medlin

February 21, 1990 - February 27, 2022

MR. NICHOLAS D’WAYNE MEDLIN was born on February 21, 1990 in Greenville, NC to parents, Anita Levette Duharte and Ernest Medlin. Nicholas peacefully departed this life at his home in Winterville, NC on Sunday, February 27, 2022. He celebrated his 32nd birthday just days prior to his passing. Nicholas attended Pitt County Schools for the majority of his education. He spent one year in the Craven County School System where he began cultivating his skills in sports. Nicholas returned to Pitt County Schools and attended D.H. Conley High School. He was a determined dreamer that spoke with faith that moved mountains. Nicholas wanted people to be happy and wanted to play a role in making that happen. Nicholas was employed with Spirit Aerospace in Kinston, NC. He was an intricate part of a department which builds cockpit doors on the Airbus A220. Nicholas also did side projects in carpentry in which he and everyone around him was very proud. Due to tremendous love and a great, wonderful God, Nicholas was blessed with bountiful grand-parenting. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, the late Arthur Lee Leggett, his paternal grandfather, James Medlin, and his paternal grandmother, Vivian Gainey. Nicholas leaves to cherish his memories his mother, Anita Levette Duharte (Roman); his father, Ernest Medlin; Three children: Tayvon Hakeem Medlin, Rylee Nicole and Nathan Amari Medlin; Two brothers: Christopher Medlin and Torrey Perry; One sister: Delilah Stewart; Grandparents: Bernice Coward (Bobby) and Kemp Lee (Michele); Four aunts: Carol Leggett, Vonetta Whitehurst (Kelvin), Kemberly Ullah (Bilal), and Kia Lee; One uncle: Kemal Lee (Delilah); Six nieces: Tierra Perry, Aniya Perry, Zaria Perry, Alayah Farrington, Kimya Outlaw, and Jo’Zion Price; Godmother, Amanda Biggs; a loving and devoted special friend: Sierra Herling; and a host of cousins, family and friends.
