Mrs. Mary Williams Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Mary Carmon Williams known as “Mary Jane” was born on August 31, 1943 to the late Garfield and Naomi Carmon in Falkland, NC. She slept away peacefully on Sunday, April 24, 2022 at Vidant Medical Center, Greenville, NC. Mary Jane has always been the favorite aunt. She loved life and lived it to the fullest. Mary Jane attended the area schools and graduated from Pitt County Training School. Upon graduating she left North Carolina and moved to New Haven, CT to work at Pratt & Whitney. She returned to North Carolina in 1971 and worked at Burroughs Wellcome until retiring. Mary Jane decided to go back to work in the Health Care field-working at Greenville Nursing Home and Cypress Glenn Retirement Community until her health failed. Mary Jane was a member and president of the Senior Usher Board of Noah’s Ark FSHGD Church until her health declined. Mary Jane was preceded in death by her parents, Garfield and Naomi Carmon; one sister, Shirley Everson (Clifton Williams). Mary Jane leaves to cherish her memories, two loving daughters, Dr. Mary C. Pippins (Douglas), Cassandra Pitt both of Greenville, NC; one sister, Pastor Viola Clark (Willie) of Chocowinty, NC; she reared, Arnelle Williams (Chena) of Greenville, NC; children in kind, Eric Williams (Lori) of Goldsboro, NC, Jermell Williams (Theresa) of Grifton, NC, Carletta Daniels (Wayne) of Disputanta, VA; special grandson, Rashad Pippins of Greenville, NC; granddaughter, Ta’Nayzia Johnson of Belvoir, NC; seven sisters-in-law; seven brothers-in-law; two aunts; two uncles; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends; one special niece, Pastor Katrina Rosen-burg.
