March 13, 1947 - October 5, 2020
Our dearest Lizzie Mae Parks was called by God to come home on Monday, October 5, 2020. Lizzie Mae Parks was born on March 13, 1947, in the city of Greenville, NC to her mother, Queenie Parks (of Greenville, NC), and father, Willie Parks Sr. (of Spartanburg, SC). Her parents and older brother, Mr. Willie Parks, Jr. older sister Rosa Parks Waddell (of Spartanburg, SC), and precious grand-son Jared Michael Bruce have preceded her in “Heavenly Rest”. Lizzie was also a hard worker in NY. Lizzie and her older brother, Willie Parks, Jr. purchased a lovely home in Brooklyn, NY where she continued to lovingly raise her children. She later retired to her hometown of Greenville, NC. Lizzie unconditionally loved her nephews…Maurice, Brian, and Keith Agard. She was always there for them, especially after the passing of their mother, Mrs. Addie Grace Agard. Lizzie also had a great sense of humor, and often made us laugh. She was so proud of her children and grandchildren, and always showed pictures of them to anyone she met. She absolutely loved her family. Ms. Lizzie Mae Parks also leaves behind her children, Mrs. Wan-dalyn Andrews (Mr. Andre Andrews) of Charlotte, NC, Mr. Terrance Parks (Mrs. Joan Parks) of Bristow, VA, and Mrs. Remara Parks-Dawson (Mr. David Dawson) of Charlotte, NC. Also, she leaves behind her grand-children Mrs. Sacoya S. Jenkins (Mr. Marquis Jenkins) of Charlotte, NC; Mr. Kevin Parks of Prince William County, VA, Mrs. Ashley Parks Anderson (Mr. Stephen Anderson) of Richmond, VA, Miss Alexis Andrews and Miss Allela Beausejour. She is also survived by her great-grandchildren, Ryah Parks, Malia Ander-son, Micah Anderson, and Madyson Jenkins. Ms. Lizzie Mae Parks is further survived by her “loving” nephews, whom she embraced as her “sons”. They are Mr. Maurice Agard (Mrs. Kewanda Agard) of Queens, NY, Dr. Brian Agard (Dr. Eugenia Agard) of Kissimmee, FL and Mr. Keith Agard of Queens, NY. In addition, she is survived by her dear sister-cousin, Ms. Brenda Whitehurst and a host of cousins and friends.
