L: LENA MAE WOOTEN NOBLES was born September 9, 1940 in Pitt County to the late James and Bessie Brown Wooten. She daparted this earthly life and gained eternal life on Friday, December 10, 2021. E LEGACY OF FAITHFULNESS • Joined Rock Springs Free Will Baptist Church, April 1956, under the leadership of Rev. Sam Hemby, a faithful member for over 66 years. • Joined the Usher Board in 1957 where she served for many years. • She was elected Financial Secretary, serving from 1981 until 2009, serving for 28 years. • She was elected on the Mother Board in 1985, serving over 36 years. • She was elected President of the Mother Board in 2015, serving until her health failed. • Retired from Pitt County Memorial Hospital 25 years, 5 months. N • She attended Pitt County Schools. • She attended many Women Fellowship Workshops. • She loved listening to Sunday School teaching, taught by her sister Nancy. • She loved various TV ministries, one of her favorite TV minister was Bishop G.E. Patterson. • She loved reading Bible Devotional Books. • She loved spending leisure time doing Bible word find puzzles. A FAVORITE SCRIPTURES Matthew 7:12 - Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets. Proverbs 3:5 - Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. Matthew 25:21 - His Lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy Lord. PRECEDED IN DEATH BY: parents, James Wooten and Bessie Brown Wooten; sisters, Bessie W. Little and Helen W. Cooper; brothers, Sidney Powell and James R. Wooten; husband, Rev. James T. Nobles; son, Melvin L. Thomas; daughter, Lillian Nobles. LEAVING HER LEGACY OF LOVE Sister: Nancy Wooten Thorne and Brother: Roy L.
