Ms. Lateisha Ruff

Lateisha Mone’ Ruff affectionately known as “Tiesha” was born June 6, 1990 to the late Kyle D. Ruff and Schantel Goddard Singleton in Brooklyn, New York. Latesiha was extremely wise beyond her years, a leader, the perfect daughter, friend and the “mother” to her cousins. At the early age of 14, Lateisha was about her MONEY! She absolutely loved nice things, the latest fashion and she knew you must earn money to receive them. Teisha began to work for the Brooklyn public library as a part timer. She worked there from 2004 until she received her high school diploma from Canarise High School in June 2008. After obtaining her diploma, Lateisha landed a job with Best Buy as a Customer Service Rep and a Geek Squad Agent. Although she loved working for Best Buy, she knew it was time to move on. Lateisha gave Best Buy five years of service and began working for the United States Postal Service in 2014. Lateisha served as a mail carrier until her untimely death. For those who knew “Teisha” you were sure to be greeted with a big smile, a “HEY BOO” or a “YESSS!”. She entered the room with positive energy and her cell phone glued to her ear. Lateisha was full of life. She had a sweet and humble spirit and was loved by everyone. On the afternoon of September 27th, 2019 God called her name and our beautiful angel departed this life. Lateisha was preceded in death by her biological father, Kyle Ruff; her grandparents, Leroy and Mary Ann Goddard, Louise McNair Singleton; her two uncles, Tony and Terrence Goddard. Lateisha leaves to cherish her memory, her dad, Rodney Singleton “Papa Bear”, her beloved mother, Schantel Goddard Singleton; brothers, Lamar Singleton, Treshon Singleton (Tookie); one sister, Daneisha Singleton; aunts, Patricia Barnette (husband, Brandon), Berthine Goddard “Aunt B”, Latoya Goddard (auntie/sister), Sabrina Mays, Alicia McNair, Christy McNair; uncles, Leroy Goddard, Jr. “June Bug”, Darrell Goddard “Mouse”, Michael Goddard “Ike”, Donald Goddard, Timothy Goddard “Tim”; niece, Destini; bestie cousins, Malaysia “May-May”, Kaheim, Tiana “Tee-Tee, Kishonna “Kiki”, Jamel; a host of great aunts, great uncles, cousins and friends. “Teisha we love you but God loved you best” In God’s Care To Lateisha, your memories are my keepsake with which we’ll never part….
