He served on the Deacon Board and was President for a number of years, until he resigned, due to his failing health. He was also President of the Junior Choir, President of United Fellowship and was a Sunday school teacher. He was a custodian for the church and maintained the church lawn. Johnnie was warm-hearted, kind and had a compassionate spirit. He truly enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Johnnie leaves to cherish his memories, Seven Children: Jeannie Cardwell (Bernard) of Walkertown NC, Ida Hines (Walter) of Robersonville NC, Johnny Michael Little (Michelle) of Arden NC, Gwendolyn Stewart (Danny) of Norwalk CT, Gilbert Little (Edna) of Greenville NC Paulette Little of the Home, Minnie Daniels of Bronx NY; Eleven Grandchildren, Nine Great-Grandchildren and One Great-Great Grandchild; One Sister, Tillie Boyd; Three Nephews: Willie Boyd, John Boyd and Miles Boyd, and a host of cousins and friends. Dad On this special day we gather to show our appreciation, Because we feel that we were in a very special situation. To have had a father so good and so kind, Whereas others search but never find. A man of true faith and belief, A man who stood by family and friends and those in grief. A man whose’ light shone bright and strong, A man who taught his family well, right from wrong A man that stood strong and passed life’s test, A man whom God has truly blessed. We all loved this man known as our father, Friends, wife, sons and daughters. By Gil Little
