    Mr. Jimmy Lee Brown

    June 3, 1948 - June 18, 2021

    Jimmy Lee Brown, Sr. was born on June 3, 1948 to the late Annias Thompson, Sr. and Lurlene Taylor. He was reared by his grandparents, Joseph Henry Brown and Beulah Wilkins. Jimmy departed this life on Friday, June 18, 2021. Jimmy, at the age of sixteen begin his worked journey at Central Soya which late became Perdue Farm, Robersonville, NC. He retired in 2012. Jimmy was a mild mannered person who enjoyed sharing his great stories and encouraging words. He was known for his dancing and having a good time. Jimmy was preceded in death by his father, Annias Thompson, Sr; brothers, Annias Thompson, Jr, Kenny Lee Brown, Dennis Brown. Jimmy leaves to cherish his memories, his children, Scherries Brown of the home, Tammie Bryant (Marvin) of Greenville, NC, Marvin E. Morning (Vickie) of Danbury, CT, Jimmy Lee Brown, Jr (Lisa) of Greenville, NC; there mother, Marie Brown of Greenville, NC; Montress Carr (Adrian) of Garner, her mother, Becky Carr; children he reared, Mary Ann Morning of Parmele, NC, Jeffery P. Morning of Greenville, NC; his mother, Lurlene Taylor; twenty-seven grandkids; seventeen great-grandchildren; eight sisters, Delores Caine of Tarboro, NC, Barbara Joseph Sherman of Spring Green, NC, Bettie Whitaker of Oak City, NC, Magaline of Oak City, NC, Debbie James Harrell of Hassell, NC, Melinda Reaves (Larry) of Robersonville, NC, Lillie Sanderlin (Gregory) of Robersonville, NC, Gloria Taylor of Robersonville, NC; three brothers, Ricky Tayor of Brooklyn, NY, Gene Taylor (Joyce) of Everett, NC, Sterling “Baldie” Green of Hamilton, NC; his lifetime partner of thirty years, France Bland; a host of nieces, nephew, cousins, other relatives and friends.
