Jazlyn Sada Wilkins aka “Jaz” “Jazz Jazz” was born on March 4, 1996 to Robert Lee and Audrey Denise Wilkins in Pitt County. She departed this life on Saturday, September 11, 2021. Jazz attended Pitt County Schools and graduated from South Central High School on June 8, 2018. Her favorite color was blue. Jazz started every morning with praising God and listening to gospel music up until 1pm, then she’ll go to her regular programs. Her favorite gospel singers were Yolanda Adams and Marvin Sapp. Jaz also loved Barney and the lyric to the song “I love you, you love me, we’re a happy family, with a great big hug and a kiss from me to you, want you say you love me too.” That’s the song Nannie “Mother Suggs” always sings to her. Jazz also loved her Wells Chapel family and especially First Lady Parker. Jazz also had special love for all of her cousins, aunts, and uncles. Jazz loved the Lord and her favorite word was “Hallelujah!” Jazz was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Timothy and Mamie Daniels Edge; great grandparents, Joseph and Rosa Daniels, Katie Edge; fraternal grandparent, John David Wilkins; step-grandfather, Milton Suggs; great-grandparents, Dora Wilkins, James and Beatrice Pittman. Jazz leaves to cherish her memories, her parents, Robert Lee and Audrey Wilkins; sisters, Robin Wilkins, Tia Wilkins; brother, Robert Lee Wilkins, Jr; grandmother, Beatrice Pittman Wilkins Suggs; aunts, Angela Worsley (Ronnie), Dorothy Brown (Richard), Anita Wilkins, Rokatter Edge, Jessica Person; uncles, Justin Edge, John David Wilkins (Teressa), a host of uncles, aunts, cousins and other relatives.
