Mr. Donnie Farrell Little

Donnie Farrell Little was born on September 28, 1951 to the late Ernest and the late Bert Little. He departed this life peacefully on Friday, March 11, 2022 at Martin General Hospital in Williamston, NC. He gave his life to Christ at a young age. He graduated from East End School in Robersonville, NC. After graduating, he served in the United States Coast Guard. He traveled the world and painted. He obtained his cosmetology degree from Martin Community College in Williamston, NC. He was an usher and active member of Providence Baptist Church in Robersonville, NC. Painting was always his passion. He was a very gifted artist and he painted all over Martin County. His work is still viewed by the Robersonville community. Donnie was a charismatic man. He got along with everyone. He was a soft-spoken man who was well liked. He was a very giving person and popular with the community. He was referred to by his children as the ‘Unofficial Mayor of Robersonville. Donnie was preceded in death by his parents Ernest and Bert Little, his brothers JC, Clayton, James, and Lowery; his sisters Shirley and Carol; his son, Donnie Farrell Starks and one grandson, Tahir Starks. He leaves six children to cherish his memory, Eric Williams of Winterville, NC, Donna Little Johnson of Newark, NJ, Rev. Dr. Tracy Thomas Purvis (Marcus, Sr.) of Raleigh, NC, Tracy Whidbee of Locust Grove, GA, Iesha Shelton of Fort Myers, FL, and Dontega Williams (Yolanda) of Clinton, NC; 22 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; his sisters, Louray, Gloristeen, Brenda (Ernest), Linda (Len), Kathy; his brothers, Bobby (Mary), Ernest (Alakaun); and his aunt, Estelle Jackson; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends are also left to cherish his memory.
