I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course. I have kept the faith. 2nd Timothy 4:7 KJV Mr. Clifton Earl Clark, Sr. was called home to be with his heavenly Father on April 27, 2022 at his home in Robersonville, NC. Clifton was born on December 5, 1951 to the late Noah Clark, Sr. and Cora Lee Little Clark in Pitt County. He attended East End High School in Martin County Schools. Clifton was reared on the farm and knew the value of hard work. He was employed at Williamston Yarn Mill in Williamston, NC for eighteen years until his retirement. Clifton was always busy doing some type of work all of his life. He regularly was busy mowing lawns. He served as a barber for family and friends, especially the sick and shut-in who were not able to travel to the barber shop. When he was not busy doing some type of work, you could find Clifton doing his favorite passion, “grilling”. Grilling was his specialty! He was known for his famous steaks, ribs, chicken, pork chops, etc. Clifton also enjoyed watching football. His favorite team was the Dallas Cowboys, the favorite team of the family. Clifton was preceded in death by his wife, Annie Best Clark of forty-eight years; parents; three sisters, Peggy Clark McMillan, Gloria James Clark and Lona Lee Clark. Clifton is survived by his two sons, Clifton Earl Clark (Jessica) of Greenville, NC, Marcus Clark (Courtney) of Morrisville, NC; his two daughters, Latricia Clark-Jenkins (Tiffany) of Greenville, NC, Gloria Clifton of Reynoldsburg, OH; three brothers, Russell Clark (Pat) of Ayden, NC, Noah Clark, Jr (Cherrie) if Plano, Texas, and Robert Coefield (Kim) of Jacksonville, FL; one sister, Carolyn Clark King of Chocowinity, NC; ten grandchildren; six aunts; three uncles; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
