Mr. Wesley Lawrence Davis

Wesley L Davis was born March 26, 1942, to Wendell and Claudina Davis in Kings County Hospital Brooklyn, New York. He was a beloved husband, father, friend, and pillar of the community—affectionately known by all as “Pops.” and for some in the local congregation he was also known as the candy man. A dedicated and hardworking man, Pops was a small business owner and truly a jack of all trades. Whether fixing what was broken or building something from the ground up, there was little he couldn’t do. He also served his community as a mechanic for the city of Greenville, where his skill and work ethic earned the respect of colleagues and friends alike. On September 26,1992, Wesley became a dedicated servant of Jehovah. For over 30 years, he faithfully served Jehovah until the very end. He lived a life that reflected his strong spiritual devotion and love for others. His faith was not only something he spoke about, but something he demonstrated daily through his kindness, generosity, and unwavering integrity. He valued and cherished his relationship with his family, spiritual brothers and sisters; and most importantly with Jehovah God. He was a devoted and loving husband, building a life grounded in loyalty, strength, and deep love for his family. His family meant everything to him, and he took pride in caring for and supporting them in every way possible. Wesley is survived by his wife, Rossa Davis of Greenville, NC; children, Edward Davis (Lucretia), Morgan Davis (Gail), Steven Davis (Amy), Lisa Davis, Curtis Davis, Gary Davis, bonus daughter, Debbie Brennan—4 grandchildren, Cory Ross, Kendrick Davis, Jamie Davis and Kennedy Davis and a host of nieces and nephews, other relatives and dear friends. Known for his generous spirit, Pops would give the shirt off his back to help a friend in need. His shop door was always open, his hands always ready to help, and his heart always full of compassion. He had a great sense of humor that could brighten any room, and his laughter was truly contagious. Universally loved by everyone who knew him, Pops leaves behind a legacy of love, service, and unforgettable memories. His presence will be deeply missed, but his impact will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know him.
