Mrs. Sheila Spruill Williams

“LET YOUR LIGHT SO SHINE BEFORE MEN, THAT THEY MAY SEE YOUR GOOD WORKS, AND GLORIFY YOUR FATHER WHICH IS IN HEAVEN.” MATTHEW 5:16 (KJV) Sheila Ramona Spruill Williams was born on Monday, November 12, 1962 in Greenville, NC to the union of Brenda Faye Smith Spruill and Ernest Calvin Spruill. Exactly two weeks to-the-day after her 60th birthday our dearly beloved Sheila went from ‘Labor’ to ‘Reward.’ On Saturday, November 26, 2022 while in the comfort of her earthly home she transitioned to her new heavenly home on high, we humbly pray that her transition was a peaceful one. Sheila attended school and spent her childhood years living in Stokes, NC. She graduated from North Pitt High School in Bethel, NC with the Class of 1981. She began her career by enlisting in the United States Marines where she served proudly for numerous years as a Personal Financial Records Clerk. After leaving the military and settling back in Greenville, NC, she started her very own cleaning business. Before her untimely passing, she was gainfully employed with the Veterans Administration. Later in life Sheila confessed her faith in Christ and acknowledged Jesus as her Lord and Savior and united with the House of Prayer in Greenville, NC where she served faithfully as an Usher and the church Secretary under the leadership of Bishop David H. Clark. Accompanied with her warmth, infectious charm, and grace, Sheila possessed a real genuine heart and cared deeply about family and people in general. Her life’s work and passion--was to be of service and to help others. She always maintained that strong work ethic and it stayed with her until the end. Always pleasant to be around with an endearing personality, Sheila encompassed a beautiful and welcoming spirit deep down within her soul. She was truly the heart and soul of our family. She loved our family dearly. In fact, she was the epitome of love. Her children and grandchildren were the light of her life and her relationship with her siblings was cherished. Sheila lived her life to the fullest through simple pleasures whether chatting with her mom or dad, visiting family members or friends, snacking or working on jigsaw puzzles, she had an uncanny ability to reach people in a positive way. Sheila Spruill Williams was loved by many. She was an amazing wife, daughter, sister, cousin, colleague, and friend. She touched the lives of so many people. She will truly be missed, and she will never, ever, be forgotten! She leaves the most precious of memories and best of times to be cherished by those who have survived her: a loving and devoted husband, Daniel Williams; two loving daughters, Candace M. Spruill and Khaila Spruill; two loving sons, Terrence Christopher “TC” Spruill and Charles Spruill; two step-daughters, Amanda Evans and Simone Evans; two step-sons, Malachi Evans and Simon Evans; one granddaughter, Khadence Spruill; one grandson, Isaiah Upchurch; a loving mother, Brenda Spruill; a loving father, Ernest C. Spruill (Lexine Willis); three sisters, Lisa M. Spruill, Montressa Ebron and Judy (Curtis) Vines; two brothers, Calvin R. Sprueill (Stanley Stapleton) and Ernest Little; three aunts, Juliet Jones, Barbara Wiggins and Vera Smith; two uncles, Julius M. Sprueill and Alton Smith; a host of in-laws, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, other relatives and many additional sorrowing friends.
