St. John 14:1-2 “Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.” Ronnie Glenn House, son of the late Dennis Earl House, Sr. and Mary Glen House was born in Pitt County on April 23, 1963. He departed this life on Wednesday, February 11, 2026 at his home in Dover, Delaware. Ronnie attended North Pitt High School, Bethel, NC. Upon graduation, he enlisted into the United States Army where he served for four years and one month as a 13B Cannon Crew Member. While serving he earned several awards, the Army Good Conduct Medal, M16 Rifle Marksman Badge, Hand Grenade Expert Badge, and Overseas Service Ribbon. After leaving the military, Ronnie was employed with the VA Medical Center in Virginia and Pennsylvania helping people like he always enjoyed doing. Before his health declined he was employed with at the casino in Dover, Delaware. Ronnie was a hardworking man that loved God and his family. He never met a stranger; always willing to lend a helping hand. In his relaxing time, he loved firing up the grill while conversating with family and friends. Ronnie was quite the sports enthusiast especially when it came down to his beloved UNC Tar Heels and Dallas Cowboys. He found great joy in breaking down each play and players alike. He definitely may have missed his calling as a sports analyst. Ronnie was preceded in death by two brothers, James House and Randy House. Ronnie leaves to celebrate his life and memories: two Sons- Marcus House (Sherell), Poquoson, VA, Courtney House (Teressa) of Greenville, NC; three Bonus Children- Kendrick Elzey of Dover, DE, Thomas Elzey of Dover, DE, and Lekisha Bamgbelu-Elzey of Dover, DE; one Brother, Dennis House Jr. of Zebulon, NC; two Sisters, Debra House Lee (William) of Wendell, NC, and Angela House Knight (Carl) of Greenville, NC; four Aunts, Bertha Worsley, Annie Pratt, Louise Jenkins, and Gail Hooker; three Uncles, Willie House, Linwood Best, and Donald Best; three Great -Aunts, Dorothy Carmack, Peggy Carr, and Mary Spellmon; four Grandchildren; seven Bonus Grandchildren; Best Friends, Carl Knight of Greenville, NC, Tony Pittman of Greenville, NC, Barry Warren of Winterville, NC, and Bob Hemingway of Bethel, NC and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
