Ronnie Earl Andrews, son of Mary Alice Andrews and Milton Wiggins, was born on September 14, 1964, and was a lifelong resident of Martin County. He was lovingly raised not only by his parents but also by Kenneth Andrews and his late grandparents, Thomas and Ella Wiggins, who played a significant role in his upbringing. Ronnie graduated from Roanoke High School in 1985 and was a devoted member of Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church. He married the love of his life, Lovie Best Andrews. Their union was blessed with one child, and together they shared four children whom Ronnie cherished deeply. He was a devoted husband, father, brother, son, and grandfather—known for his kindness, generosity, and unwavering commitment to providing for his family. Ronnie never waited to be asked for help; his signature phrase was always, “Let me help you with that.” Ronnie lived his life with passion and purpose. He enjoyed watching street car and bike racing and was a proud, die-hard fan of the Washington Commanders. For more than 30 years, he worked as an 18-wheeler truck driver, spending his last five years driving for Perdue Farms in Lewiston, North Carolina. No distance was ever too far for Ronnie—he pulled every load with pride and made sure the load at home was taken care of first. He was a go-getter. He was a legend. Ronnie departed this life on February 15, 2026. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Lovie Andrews, and their son, Rondell Andrews, of the home; daughters, Quan Hill and Jessica Best; and son, Quanat Best, all of Robersonville, NC; five grandchildren—Zion, Arianna, Jyheim, Demonie, and JaQuail; his mother, Mary Alice (Kenneth Andrews) of Parmele, NC; and his father, Milton Wiggins (Mary Wiggins) of Robersonville, NC; his siblings include three brothers, Ricky Andrews of Robersonville, NC, Milton Wiggins Jr. (Tracy) of New York; and Jay Brown of Charlotte, NC; his five sisters, Mary Council (James) of Parmele, NC, Kerrie Andrews of Greenville, NC, Shadé Wiggins of Georgia, Janelle King of Greenville, NC; and Tina Brown of Robersonville, NC; his in-laws include James Council of Parmele, NC, Johnny and Teresa Best of Greenville, NC, Henry Best of Greenville, NC, Alton and Maggie Sharp of Bethel, NC; and Linda Green of Virginia Beach, VA; his uncles, Larry Wiggins and Thomas Wiggins (Glenda) of Robersonville, NC; aunts, Edna Newell, Diane Barnhill of Robersonville, NC, and Vernesteen Wiggins of Brooklyn, NY; a special cousin, Lori Dolberry of Charlotte, NC; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, trucker buddies, and dear friends.
