Obituary of Raymond Lee Outlaw (a.k.a. “Stuff,” “Road Dog,” “Rain”) Raymond Lee Outlaw was born in New York City, NY on July 7, 1960. He is the son of Doris Outlaw Reed and the late Claing McCray Hendrix. Raymond received his early education in New York City public schools. After moving to Windsor, NC with his mother, Doris and stepfather, William Reed and his siblings, Raymond continued his education in Bertie County Schools. Four years ago, Raymond met his ideal woman and united in holy matrimony to Casantha Andrews in July 2016. Together they had big dreams and set goals for their future. Raymond loved sitting on the front porch even when the weather was cold. Often times he and Casantha would sit together on their front porch, he wearing a hooded jacket given to him by his brother Tony, and she wrapped up in a blanket to shield herself from the cold, holding hands, talking about their future and growing old together. Raymond lived his life to the fullest, enjoying his freedom and his independence. He was multi-talented, mechanically inclined, a skilled and great drummer, that knew how to do minor home repairs. In addition, he was skilled in lawn care and kept the yards of his mother and aunts neatly mowed. He loved his family and friends unconditionally, and would risk his life to defend all of those he loved. Raymond was big on respect; he respected others and demanded that they respect him. He loved biking and trips to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina and rarely missed traveling to the annual Bike Fest held usually during Memorial holiday weekend. He was a member of the Murfreesboro “Road Dog Motorcycle Club.” Raymond, also, had his own sense of fashion, style, and class; he loved leather pants, leather vests, cowboy boots, and sunglasses. Raymond was full of life and so much fun to be with and around. He cherished times spent with family and friends and was affectionately known as “Road Dog”, “Stuff”, “Rain”. Raymond’s life revolved around family, fancy cars and bikes. Often after work, he loved to take a relaxing spend on his bike to relieve the tension, stress, and busyness of a hard day’s work. Raymond loved and is loved! Raymond leaves to cherish fond memories of him, his loving and devoted wife, Casantha Andrews Outlaw of Williamston, NC; two daughters, Latricia Best (Terry) of Greenville, NC; Tisha Whitaker (Lee) of Windsor, NC; one son, LaTroy Outlaw of Greenville, NC; stepdaughter Tiffany Smith of Greenville, NC; three stepsons, Brandon Earl Brown of Virginia Beach, VA.; Kevin Smith and Michael Smith both of Greenville, NC; nine grandchildren; another grandson on the way; a loving mother, Doris Outlaw Reed of Windsor, NC; two adoring sisters, Juanita Wesson (Cohen) of Windsor, NC; Marion Holley (Darry) of Colerain, NC; one devoted brother, Tony Outlaw of Clinton, MD; his special mother-in-law, Ella Simpson; sisters-in-law, Lisa Outlaw and Stephanie Andrews; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
