Ms. Mary Frances Bland

Mary Frances Bland departed this life Monday, August 3, 2026, at ECU Health, Greenville, NC. She is affectionately known as Frances, was born to the late Elder Mobley and Mother Carrie Mobley of Robersonville, NC. Frances attended Martin County Schools. She was a homemaker. Frances attended church at Little Thankful Church of Williamston, NC where she enjoyed serving the Lord. She loved praising God and didn’t mind going forward in the dance. Frances loved going on trips. Her passion was fishing and she loved her flowers but if she was missing for a while, you could find her at the fish creek! She was known for her sweet potato pies, banana pudding and collars. Basically, Frances could cook! Holiday cooking is when she competed with her sister on the cooking. Frances didn’t mind telling you just what she was thinking. One of her sayings was, “I’ve got a bone to pick with you” it was funny, but it was all in love. She just loved people. Frances leaves to cherish her memories, her children, La’Wanna Bland, Jeffrey Bland both of Robersonville, NC, Teresa Bland and William Bland (Sharon) both of Greenville, NC; three sisters, Alice Cotten and Gail Mobley, both of Williamston, NC, Mary Mobley of Durham, NC; one brother, Edward Jerome Thompson or Williamston, NC; eleven grandchildren, Travone Bland, Shakira Ballard, Joshua Bland, Indiya Bland, Sada’sha Bland, Rockell Bland, Kiara Bland, Shi’Quan Mosley, Ja’Niya Bland, Zania Grimes, Curtis Bland; great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews; some of her close friends, Hattie Whitley and her daughter Lavita of Greenville, NC, Barbara Ann Paige of Hamilton, NC and Mary Wiggins of Robersonville, NC and many more friends and family who loved her and will miss her dearly. Frances dearly loved her children and grandchildren, all her family. She would feed the world if she could. She will be missed by all who know her. Frances was full of love and compassion for everyone she had the pleasure of meeting.
