Mr. Keith Short

For now I am ready to be offered and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought a good fight. I have finished my course, I have kept the faith. Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness which the Lord, the righteous judge shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing. II Timothy 4:8 Keith Short, son of the late Sam and Mary Short, was born in Williamston, North Carolina on September 15, 1967. God called him to his eternal home on Monday, January 18, 2016 in Greensboro, North Carolina. He attended Martin County Public Schools where he graduated in 1986. He was employed at Vita Olympic for over 24 years. Keith was a dedicated hardworking young man whose work spoke for him. Keith believed in God. He truly and deeply loved the Lord wholeheartedly. One could feel his love when in his presence. Keith, the ultimate extrovert, enjoyed interacting with people. He exuded love, peace, joy, laughter, music, singing and even dancing. Keith enjoyed life and it was a joy to be in his presence. Keith was a loving and devoted husband, brother, uncle, cousin and a man of honor and integrity. Keith was preceded in death by brother, Samuel Short; sister, Linda Faye Short Smith. Keith leaves to cherish his memories, the love of his life, wife, best friend and confidante, Feneita Biggs Short of Greensboro, NC; sister, Mary Louise Short of Williamston, NC; two nephews, that he cherished deeply as his own sons, Tobie Smith of Greensboro, NC, Tyrell Roshar Short (Latroya) of Greensboro, NC; great niece, Xyrhiana Short; two great nephews, Tyrell Short, Jr. of Greensboro, NC, and Tyshaun Short of Plymouth, NC; three aunts, Kathleen Smith and Marjorie Anthony both of Scotland Neck, NC, Addie Crosby of Greenville, NC; mother- in- law, Delores Green of Norfolk, VA; father-in- law, Johnny “Buck” Brown of Williamston, NC; two brothers-in-law, Eric Brown (Robin) of Williamston, NC, Melvin Green of Norfolk, VA, a host of nieces, nephew, other relatives and friends. Keith loved and adored William and Ruth Coffield of Williamston, North Carolina. He also had a special bonds with Antonio Peele, Clayton Williams, Mack Williams and Clinton Jackson.
