Mr. Joseph Outerbridge, Jr. was born on December 30, 1958 in Williamston, North Carolina. He was the son of the late Elder Joseph and Catherine Outerbridge. On April 30, 2016, Joseph, known by many as “June” was called home to be with the Lord. Joseph attended and graduated from Williamston High School in Williamston, NC. Over the years he worked various jobs but his love was for gardening, landscaping lawns, reading the Bible and learning the word of the Lord. He often debated with his sisters about certain scriptures and gave his own interpretation. In his spare time he loved traveling to Maryland to visit with family and spending time with his nephew BJ, niece CJ and dog “Ginger”. BJ and CJ Tillery are both seven years old and always had Joseph laughing, buying them toys at Kmart or walking Ginger (the dog). Joseph was a Redskin and Carolina Panther fan. It was always a family debate who would win, Dallas or Redskins? Joseph was preceded in death by his parents, Elder Joseph and Catherine Outerbridge; sister, Alice M. Moore. Joseph leaves to cherish his memories, four sisters, Mamie McCoy (John-deceased) of Columbia, SC, Clara Rhoe (William-deceased) of S. Brunswick, NJ, Ernestine Tillery (Leroy) of Fort Washington, MD, Magalene “Cookie” Terry (Wallace) of Clinton, MD; one brother, Robert Moore of Brooklyn, NY; one aunt, Mrs. Eunice Webb of Brooklyn, NY; devoted adopted god-parents, Mr. & Mrs. Aaron K. Wooten; life long friends, Stella Perry, Cyril James, Ray Biggs; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
