Jaylen Lewis Suggs was born on March 22, 2006, and entered eternal rest on June 26, 2026. Though his time with us was brief, the love he shared and the lives he touched will remain forever in the hearts of all who knew him. Jaylen was a bright light whose smile could warm any room. He was smart, fun-loving, jovial, charming, and compassionate. He had a remarkable ability to make people laugh, offer encouragement, and make everyone feel welcome. Whether you knew him for a lifetime or only a moment, Jaylen had a way of leaving a lasting impression. His kind spirit and genuine heart made him someone who was truly loved by everyone he met. He had a deep passion for music, basketball, and video games. These were more than hobbies—they were moments where his competitive spirit, laughter, and joy shined brightest. He cherished spending time with family and friends, creating memories that will forever be treasured. Jaylen took great pride in his work at Zaxby's, where he genuinely enjoyed going to work each day. His dedication and friendly personality made him a valued employee and coworker. He approached every opportunity with enthusiasm and a willingness to learn. One of Jaylen's proudest accomplishments came on May 14, 2026, when he graduated from Pitt Community College. Through determination and hard work, he earned his High School Diploma, received his ServSafe Certification administered by the National Restaurant Association, and successfully completed the OSHA 10-Hour Construction Safety and Health Training. These achievements reflected his commitment to building a bright future and making those who loved him proud. Although our hearts ache with unimaginable sorrow, we find comfort in knowing that Jaylen lived with love, laughter, and purpose. His gentle spirit, infectious smile, and unwavering kindness will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing him. His legacy is not measured by the years he lived, but by the countless hearts he touched. Jaylen leaves to cherish his precious memories his loving parents, Deatrice Suggs and John Suggs, Sr. (Patricia) of Winterville, North Carolina; four brothers, Antoine Walston (Candace) of Morgantown, West Virginia, John Suggs Jr. (Tina) of Richlands, North Carolina, Christopher Suggs, and Marcus Suggs of Wake Forest, North Carolina; one stepbrother, Kevin Daye (Andrea) of Wake Forest, North Carolina; and one stepsister, Latisha McCants of Wake Forest, North Carolina. He also leaves behind six beloved nephews, Nathan, Noah, and Neil Suggs of Richlands, North Carolina, Kaiden Daye of Henderson, NC, Kavion Jones of South Carolina and Kileen Alston of Wake Forest, NC; five cherished nieces, Chernel Suggs, Precious Mitchell, Jada Mitchell, Aaliya Daye, and Braylynn Joyner of Wake Forest, North Carolina; Four devoted aunts, Audrey Williams of Farmville, North Carolina, Wendy Purdie of Bridgeport, Connecticut, Arletha Robinson and Lisa Suggs of Lumberton, NC; Five uncles, Horace Williams (Gloria) and Sandy Suggs Jr. of Dunn, North Carolina, Michael Suggs, Alfonza Suggs and Lee Suggs Sr. of Shannon, NC; two great-uncles, George Maye of the home and John Parker of Baltimore, Maryland; one great aunt; Ann Tyson of Greenville, NC and his three very close friends, Diyan, Tyler, and Tay, who shared countless memories and an unbreakable bond with him. Jaylen was surrounded with love by an extended family (Aunt Maysa Leak of Baltimore Md, Mama Jean Titus of Miami, Fl, Uncle Joey Crutchfield and Godmother Cynthia Boston of Greenville, NC) and countless friends whose lives were forever enriched by his kindness, humor, and loving spirit. He will be deeply missed but never forgotten. As we remember Jaylen, we celebrate a life filled with promise, laughter, and unconditional love. Though his earthly journey has ended, his spirit will live on in every smile he inspired, every life he touched, and every heart that carries his memory. Those we love don't go away; they walk beside us every day. Unseen, unheard, but always near.
