The family will be receiving guests begin January 23, 2025 - January 25, 2025 at 4:00pm until 8:00pm at 601 Remington Drive, Greenville, NC 27858. Glenda Jean Bryant, the daughter of the late William Sherman Dawes and Cora Reddick Dawes, was born July 29, 1963, in Robersonville, North Carolina. Glenda’s Christian life began at an early age, at Bible Way Apostolic Church, Williamston, NC, under the leadership of the late David A. Carter. Glenda was baptized in Jesus Name and received the gift of the Holy Ghost with evidence of speaking in tongues. While at Bible Way, Glenda unveiled her singing talent, for which she enjoyed sharing to the Saints, and, as a member of the Youth Choir, and, as part of a singing group, called Joy. For nearly 22 years, Glenda was an active member of the Refuge One Way Holiness Church. Since joining Refuge One Way, she was an aspiring missionary, Sunday school teacher, and President of the Usher Board. Glenda was a 1981 graduate of Roanoke High School, Robersonville, NC. She attended Fayetteville State University and Pitt Community College, where she graduated with a degree in Network Administration. Additionally, Glenda worked for Proctor and Gamble Company for 10 years. After leaving Proctor and Gamble, she became the owner and CEO of Ultimate Home Health Care and Transportation for more than 17 years, until her health began to decline. Glenda’s Christian life, contribution, work, and legacy are remembered by many, including a host of nieces, nephews, other families, and friends. Special love and warmth were cherished by: her loving and devoted husband, Antonio Bryant, and daughter, Corinda of the home; five brothers, John Richard Reddick, Bobby Glen Burns, Baltimore, MD, Dalton Ray Dawes (Joyce) of Greenville, NC, William Ray Dawes, (Donna) of Garner, NC, Steven Ray Dawes of Robersonville, NC; one sister, Sylvia Denise Williams of Robersonville, NC, Glenda and Tony also reared a niece and nephew, Cornish Glover of Greenville, NC and Alton Stevenson of Raleigh, NC. Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort; who comforted us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God. 2 Corinthians 1:3-4
