Eric Vincent Butler

Eric Vincent Butler was born January 23, 1985 to Vincent Ricardo Butler and Phyllis Banks Butler. He was the youngest of his two siblings, older sister Carla Diane Hauser and middle child Bryson Ricardo Butler. He passed away from this world on Monday, June 9, 2015 at Vidant Health Medical Center. Eric graduated from Altitude Academy of Barbering through Pitt Community College with honors and was highly recognized and admired by his colleagues and clients for his skills within the profession. His favorite pastimes consisted of watching UFC events with friends, Marvel comic/movies and laughing at videos posted through World Star Hip Hop. Eric had an amazing smile and will always be remembered as a giver and in many cases he has literally given the shirt off his back. At the age of three, his artistic talents began to shine and as he grew so did his talents which is seen when he won the best drawing award in the 10th grade. Eric liked to rap when he was in the world. When he gave his life to Christ he rapped for the Lord and later joined a Christian rap group called the JustHISleague. As a result of the musical group he was able to bring many souls to Christ. Throughout his life we would always tell and show him how much we loved him and that God’s love never ever dies. Eric married Meroe Francisca Liranzo Butler on December 20, 2011. Together they spent three amazing years within the embrace of each other’s arms. He was her brave and strong protector and she his loving and caring bride. They made a great team and were an unstoppable force. Eric’s memory will live on through the many lives that he has impacted within his lifetime. He will forever be remembered for his sweet gentle spirit, his unselfishness towards others and the simplicity in how he lived his life. Today we’ll celebrate his life as a great son, loving brother and a devoted husband. Eric was preceded in death by his grandparents, Henry and Alice Banks, Dr. J. Ray and Marion Lucas Butler, Uncle Bryce Kinard Banks. Eric leaves to cherish his memories, his wife, Meroe Liranzo Butler of the home; parents, Vincent and Phyllis Butler of Greenville, NC; sister, Carla Hauser of Winston Salem, NC; brother, Bryson Butler of Greensboro, NC; a host of aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends.
