Rev. 21:4 Brenda Faye Marshall-Adams was born on August 6, 1951 to the late Mattie Mae Marshall and Roscoe “Rock” Moore. She departed this life on Sunday, May 19, 2024 at Northside Hospital, St. Petersburg, FL. She graduated from East End High School in 1969. Shortly after graduation, Brenda relocated to St. Petersburg, FL. Brenda was formerly a member of Temple of Truth Church, St. Petersburg, FL under the leadership of the late Rev. Catherine Brooks. After her health began to fail, she still enjoyed reading God’s Word. Her favorite scriptures were Matthew 5:4 and Psalms 91:1-2. She enjoyed having her son to read her daily devotions with or to her. She had a very outgoing personality and was known to keep her family and friends laughing. Brenda was passionate in her knowledge of politics; she loved talking about politics with her friends. She was a former member of the NAACP and the SCLC. Brenda worked in Healthcare Services for 47 years, working her way up the ranks to becoming the Supervisor/Director of Housekeeping. She received many accolades working at several Healthcare Facilities. Her resume included Northshore Senior Living, TLC Nursing Home, Bay Pointe Nursing Pavilion, and Swanholm Nursing. While working at these facilities, she met livelong friends. She was predeceased by her parents, and her sister, Linda Lorraine Bell. She leaves to cherish many fond memories, a loving and devoted son, Herman G. Adams, Jr.; siblings, Jerry A. Marshall (Veronica), Kinston, NC, Amy Denise Marshall-Brown (James), Tarboro, NC, Maria D. Marshall, Rocky Mount, NC; sister and brother-in-law, Joe and Kate Bell; Nieces and Nephews, Jayven Brown, Jessica Brown, James Brown, II (Christy), Jasmyne Brown, Donna Holmes, Jason Bell and Mario Bell; great nieces and nephews, Jermani Horton, Josh Brown, Jada Brown, James “Tre” Brown, III, Anyla Brown and Alivia Brown; other people close to her include her St. Pete family, Ms. Janie Modica and a host of other devoted cousins and friends.
