Ms. Betty Robinson

With profound love and gratitude for a life well lived, we celebrate the life and legacy of Ms. Betty Louise Polite-Robinson, who peacefully departed this life on August 3, 2026, in Greenville, North Carolina. She was born on November 24, 1938, in Wilmington, North Carolina, to the late Stanish Isaiah Polite and the late Dorothy Myers Polite-Parker. She joins in eternal rest her brother, Stanish Isaiah Polite Jr; sister, Barbara Polite- Martin, and son-in-law, James (Nootney) Vincent, who passed before her. Betty was a woman of quiet strength, unwavering kindness, and remarkable grace. She possessed a gentle spirit that brought comfort to all who knew her. Her soft demeanor was matched only by her fierce devotion to the well being of children. Whether they were family, neighbors, or members of her church community, Betty watched over them with extraordinary care and affection. Her loving vigilance earned her the affectionate title of "Top Flight Security Manager," a testament to her watchful eye, protective heart, and the genuine joy she found in nurturing others. She received her education at Williston Senior High School in Wilmington, North Carolina, where she formed lifelong friendships and cherished memories. A devoted woman of faith, Betty was a faithful member of Mt. Zion AME Church in Wilmington, North Carolina, where she faithfully served as an usher. She greeted everyone with warmth, kindness, and a welcoming smile. Her commitment to her church reflected her deep love for God and her desire to serve others with humility. Betty leaves to cherish her precious memory her devoted daughter, Carmen Robinson-Vincent; her beloved grandson, James D. "Trey" Vincent (Candis); her treasured great-grandchildren, Jazzmya, Janiyah, and Jordan; her loving niece and nephews, Cheryl, Russell, Anthony, and Steve; her special grandnieces, Denise O'Brien and Morgan O'Brien; her devoted in-home caregiver, Ms. Carolyn King; and two lifelong friends, Mrs. Lula Davis and Ms. Ann Harris. Though our hearts are heavy with sorrow, we find peace in knowing that Betty's legacy of love, compassion, faith, and unwavering devotion to family will continue to inspire all who were privileged to know her. Her gentle smile, comforting presence, and caring heart will forever remain etched in our memories.
