On August 28, 1983, in Greenville, North Carolina, Teron was the beloved son of the late Wilbur Lee Carmon-Ellis and Dr. Barbara Jean Hester. From an early age, he possessed a vibrant personality and joyful spirit that naturally drew people to him. He embraced life with authenticity, loved deeply, laughed freely, and never hesitated to be unapologetically himself. His smile was contagious, his heart was generous, and his presence made others feel seen, valued, and loved. On July 1, 2026, at the age of 42, Teron peacefully answered God's call from earthly labor to eternal rest. Although his earthly journey ended far sooner than those who loved him had hoped, his eternal story has only just begun. Today, Teron's voice is no longer bound by the struggles of this world. Every burden has been lifted, every tear has been wiped away, and every chain has been forever broken. He now joins the heavenly choir, singing, "Holy, Holy, Holy," before the throne of the Almighty. Fully restored. Completely free. Forever whole. In the presence of his Savior, he has exchanged earthly pain for eternal joy and now dwells in the perfect peace of God Teron received his education through the Pitt County School System, graduating from J.H. Rose High School before continuing his studies at Pitt Community College. He dedicated his career to customer service and professional development, always finding ways to bring joy and support to those around him. Early in his journey, he brought countless smiles to patrons at Golden Corral, where he loved sharing his passion for singing and uplifting guests with happy birthday songs-memories cherished by many in videos shared online. Teron later transitioned into leadership, serving as a manager at Focus Services. In this role, he found true fulfillment in training, mentoring, and helping others develop their own skills and potential. Most recently, he brought his signature dedication, dependability, and integrity to his work as an employee of Online Collection Services. If you had the privilege of knowing Teron, then you knew a man who found joy in life's simple pleasures. Whether he was dressed to the nines, lifting his voice in song, enjoying a competitive video game, watching his favorite episodes of Law & Order, or trying his luck at the casino in search of his beloved "Blazing Sevens," Teron embraced every moment with enthusiasm and gratitude. Yet above all these things, nothing brought him greater happiness than spending time with his family and those he loved. His laughter was contagious, his spirit unforgettable, and the memories he created will forever remain a treasured gift to those who knew him. A devoted member of York Memorial A.M.E. Zion Church, Teron faithfully served as a member of the Men's Choir, where he worshiped through song and faithfully lifted his voice in praise to God. His love for singing did not end with this life it simply changed choirs. Teron was preceded in death by his father, Wilbur Lee Carmon-Ellis; his grandmother, Lee Helen Hester; his sister, Pamela Shirley; his uncle, Willie "Bo" Edwards; his aunt, Carolyn Alford; his cousin, Randy Edwards; and his twin newborns, Kendall and Kyndell. He leaves to cherish his precious memory his loving mother, Dr. Barbara Jean Hester; his furry daughter, Grace; his brother, Corey Lee Hester (Tonya); his sisters, Brandy Hester, Sinia Gay of New York and Carmencita Lewis of Charleston, South Carolina; his brother, Wilbur Lee Ellis, Jr.; his aunts, Helen Taylor (Willie) of Rocky Mount, North Carolina, and Marian Dudley of Jacksonville, North Carolina. He also leaves behind his beloved nieces and nephews: Jasmine Jones (Kendal), Kenya, Brandon, Na’Comus, Cedasia, Faith, and Na’Shai each of whom held a special place in his heart; along with a host of loving cousins, extended family members, church family, and all whose lives were blessed by knowing him. Teron was also blessed with cherished friendships that became family. He leaves behind his confidant, Justin, dear friends Ontrea and Demontico, whose love, loyalty, laughter, and countless memories will forever remain a testament to the bond they shared Though our hearts grieve his absence, we rejoice in the blessed assurance that this is not the end. Because of God's unfailing promise and the hope found in Jesus Christ, we know this is not goodbye— it is simply until we meet again. Teron's legacy of love, laughter, faith, and music will continue to live on in every heart he touched.
