Mrs. Sadie Brown

Sadie Mae Brown was born September 4, 1929 to the late Charlie Roberson and the late Gertrude Brown. She was later adopted by the late Roy and the late Virginia Boston. Sadie entered into eternal rest on December 13, 2017. Sadie Mae attended Martin County Schools. She was a member of Cedar Hill Missionary Baptist Church in Williamston, NC where she attended very diligently until her health declined. Sadie Mae and Octavis entered into holy matrimony on August 13, 1949 and to this union three children were born. She was employed and care for the late Louis Martin for many years. Sadie Mae loved to cook and feed the community. Christmas was her favorite holiday because she looked forward to cooking a big meal, especially her barbecue. She never met a stranger and loved her “youngings and grandyoungings”. She loved her special friend and roommate Mrs. Dollie Judd. Sadie Mae always had a story or word of wisdom. Sadie Mae was preceded in death by her husband, Octavis Brown, Sr.; daughter, Edna B. Anthony; son, William “Bopeep” Brown; brothers, Octavis Roberson, Charlie Roberson, Arthur Roberson, Rudolph Roberson, Tyrone Roberson; sister, Ethel Mae Williams. Sadie Mae leaves to cherish her loving memories, son, Octavis Brown, Jr. (Geraldine) of Alexandria, VA; brothers, McKinley Roberson (Alice), McCoy Roberson (Doris), Linvert Roberson (Shelia), Clint Roberson (Diane), Hort Manning (Sonya) all of Parmele, NC; sisters, Joyce McCray, Glenda Roberson, Shirley Powell (William) all of Parmele, NC; grandchildren, Kimothy Riddick (Jimmy) of High Point, NC, Angelet Brown, Tonya Brown (Anthony) of Williamston, NC, Klenettye Frett (Caleb) of Robersonville, NC, Tanya Lindsey (Shon), Jason Brown (Hanifa) of Greensboro, NC, Dee Hawkins of Greenville, NC, Darnell Rhodes (Janie) of Beaver Dam, WI, Catina Hopkins of Baltimore, MD; twenty-three great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; daughterin-law, Mattie Brown of Williamston, NC; brothers-in-law, Booker Brown (Dorothy) of Williamston, NC, Sam Brown (Betty) of Greenville, NC; sisters-in-law, Eula Jones, Eva Hargrave, Gloria Brown all of Williamston, NC; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
